Sol Plaatje Municipality says a major clean-up of all four clarifiers at the old Riverton water treatment plant is under way to improve both the volume and quality of water supplied to Kimberley’s Newton Reservoir, following the return of nightly water cuts after an Eskom-related power disruption.
