A man convicted as a teenager of the notorious Griekwastad triple murders will remain behind bars after Correctional Services Minister Pieter Groenewald intervened to overturn a parole decision approved by the Upington Correctional Supervision and Parole Board. The offender, who was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment in 2014, will continue serving his sentence after the Correctional Services Parole Review Board ruled against his release.
