George Stinney Jr. Was the Youngest Person Put To Death In Electric Chair — Then After 70 Years He Was Proved Innocent

USA – 14-year-old George Stinney Jr was convicted for killing two girls, he was forced into a confession by local police, given a 2-hour trial, and quickly sent to death row. His conviction was overturned 70 years later.

The all-white jury took less than ten minutes to deliberate after which they found George Stinnely guilty of first-degree murder, and the judge, Philip H. Stoll sentenced him to death by electric chair.
