Truck driver arrested on N14 for dagga worth R231 406

NORTHERN CAPE – A 35-year-old truck driver was arrested on Sunday, 07 March for possession of dagga during a vehicle checkpoint on the N14 road in the ZF Mgcawu District.

According to police spokesperson, Omphile Masegela, the police were going through all the vehicles coming through the checkpoint and upon searching one of the trucks they found dagga to the value of R231 406 stashed behind the seat. 

The driver was arrested and will appear in court.

Masegela says the members under the command of Captain Gerrit Mouton were commended for a job well done.
