Eskom R20m in debt to halt load-shedding 4 hours during King Zwelithini’s memorial service

SOUTH AFRICA – Eskom spent around R20 million on supplementary generation capacity in order to suspend load-shedding for four hours during the memorial service of King Goodwill Zwelithini.

Eskom stopped load-shedding for four hours on Thursday as an extraordinary measure to “allow the nation to witness a key and significant historical event”.
