KIMBERLEY – Two men were wounded after six shots were apparently fired in Devenish Road in Beaconsfield on Tuesday at 23:44.
According to police spokeswoman Capt Tessa Jansen, police were called to the scene after the alleged gunshots were heard.
On arrival, they were told that two men with gunshot wounds were taken to hospital by a driver of a minibus, Jansen says.
The police confirmed with the hospital that the two men were in fact admitted. A case of attempted murder was opened and is being investigated, Jansen says.
Security footage from a resident in the suburb captured audio at the time of the incident. In total six gunshots can be heard.
