Warning from Kimberley Motorist: Lookout for Pothole near North Cape Mall

Editorial Staff

Henry Meier, a Kimberley motorist, is warning others to be careful and look out for the pothole just before Seattle Coffee on Memorial Road across the North Cape Mall. Henry recently experienced this hazard first-hand, as he hit the pothole with his Honda Jazz Elegance at approximately 9:15am.

He reported the incident to the Sol Plaatje Municipality and shared the details of the damage done to his vehicle. The left tyre (185/60/15) was unfortunately damaged and had to be replaced by Supa Quick at a cost of R1570.02. Additionally, the front left suspension was also damaged (Castor) but could not be repaired by SupaQuick.

Henry is urging others to be cautious when driving near the North Cape Mall, as the pothole is deep and could cause serious damage to vehicles. He hopes that the Sol Plaatje Municipality takes action soon to fix the pothole and prevent further damage to vehicles.

In the meantime, Henry advises motorists to drive slowly and be on the lookout for the pothole. He emphasizes that being aware of the hazard can help prevent costly repairs and keep drivers safe on the roads.
