KIMBERLEY – Francois du Toit recently shared his appreciation for the Sol Plaatje Firebrigade, thanking them for showing a couple of children the ropes of what firefighting is. The team at the Sol Plaatje Firebrigade recently gave the children an insight into what it is like to be a firefighter, inspiring them in the process.
Du Toit was so impressed with the experience, he took to social media to thank the firefighters, saying: “You are AWESOME. Stay safe and thank you for making a couple of kids day and year!”
The Sol Plaatje Firebrigade has been a long-standing part of the community, fighting fires and helping to keep local residents safe. It appears they have now found a way to inspire the younger generation too.
