From the stillness of the night sky, a mysterious source of light appeared. It hovered above, casting an eerie glow on the unsuspecting populace below. Little did they know that the light would bring about a series of events that would change their lives forever: seventeen alien abductions or UFO sightings. These seventeen accounts of extraterrestrial encounters have forever left their mark on humanity’s collective consciousness, inspiring us to look to the stars and ponder our place in the universe.

1. Betty and Barney Hill (September 19, 1961) – Betty and Barney Hill were an American couple who claimed to be abducted by aliens while driving through New Hampshire. They reported being abducted by a UFO and taken aboard a spacecraft where they were subjected to a physical examination.
   
2. Travis Walton (November 5, 1975) – Travis Walton was an American logger who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO near Snowflake, Arizona. He reported being taken aboard a UFO and subjected to a physical examination before being released 5 days later.

3. Herbert Schirmer (December 3, 1967) – Herbert Schirmer was an American police officer who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while on patrol. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft and subjected to a physical examination.

4. William Herrmann (April 18, 1976) – William Herrmann was an American farmer who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where he was subjected to a physical examination.

5. Betty Andreasson (January 25, 1967) – Betty Andreasson was an American housewife who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO. She reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where she was subjected to a physical examination.

6. Rendlesham Forest UFO incident (December 26, 1980) – Larry Warren was an American soldier who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while on duty at RAF Bentwaters in the United Kingdom. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft and subjected to a physical examination.

7. Linda Cortile (November 30, 1989) – Linda Cortile was an American housewife who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while walking in New York City. She reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft and subjected to a physical examination.

8. Kenneth Arnold (June 24, 1947) – Kenneth Arnold was an American pilot who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while flying near Mount Rainier in Washington. He reported seeing several UFOs.

9. Antonio Villas-Boas (October 16, 1957) – Antonio Villas-Boas was a Brazilian farmer who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while ploughing his fields. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where he was subjected to a physical examination.

10. Frederick Valentich (October 21, 1978) – Frederick Valentich was an Australian pilot who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while flying near Melbourne. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where he was subjected to a physical examination.

11. Pascagoula Abduction (October 11, 1973) – Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker reported being abducted by a UFO while fishing in Pascagoula, Mississippi. They reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where they were subjected to a physical examination.

12. Joe Simonton (April 18, 1961) – Joe Simonton was an American farmer who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while feeding his chickens in Wisconsin. He reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where he was subjected to a physical examination.

13. Shirley McLain (August 12, 1978) – Shirley McLain was an American actress who claimed to have been abducted by a UFO while driving through Nova Scotia. She reported seeing a UFO and then being taken aboard a spacecraft where she was subjected to a physical examination.

14. The Ariel School Incident (September 16, 1994) – Several children at the Ariel School in Ruwa, Zimbabwe reported being abducted by a UFO. They reported seeing a UFO.
