Taking a Stand Against Criminal Activity: Document and Report, No Matter How Small

Editorial Staff

We all want to feel safe and secure in our own homes and neighbourhoods. However, crime and lawlessness are increasingly becoming all too common occurrences in today’s society. The truth is that justice comes from public accountability. It is only when the public holds those who break the law accountable that criminals are judged.

No matter how trivial an offence may seem, it is important to take legal investigative action against it. This could be anything from your neighbour’s gardener dumping a wheelbarrow of construction rubble or garden waste, to someone urinating in the street. It is our responsibility to take video and photographic evidence to report the incident to the responsible government official and ensure the appropriate action is taken.

We should also report suspicious activity such as people drinking alcohol in the streets, cutting down trees in public, selling endangered species and other contraband, and hard drug use in public. Additionally, we should also report illegal spray painting, dumping of motor oil and anyone creating toxic fumes, and burning of waste, and scrap dealers and their collectors if you suspect they are dealing in stolen property or are dumping unwanted scrap and littering in public.

By taking these steps, we can ensure that lawlessness and crime don’t go unpunished. We can send a strong message to those who break the law that criminal activities will not be tolerated. We must all work together to hold the lawless accountable and create a safe and secure environment for everyone.
