On Tuesday morning, a tragic accident occurred on Main Road in Lonehill, Johannesburg. The multiple-vehicle pile-up resulted in the death of one person and the injury of more than 20 people.
The incident happened at around 07:30, with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attending to the scene. According to Kyle van Reenen, spokesperson for Emer-G-Med, some of the injured commuters were left in critical condition.
The accident had a serious impact on the traffic in the area. The roads were blocked, causing disruption to the morning commute.
