NORTHERN CAPE – On Thursday 11 May 2023, a motorcyclist was killed in a fatal accident with a retail store delivery truck in De Aar.
Sergeant Timothy Sam, the police spokesperson in the Northern Cape, has confirmed that the police are investigating a culpable homicide case following the accident.
According to Sergeant Sam, the police were informed of the accident at a local chain store involving the motorbike colliding into the back of the parked delivery truck. The 63-year-old male motorcyclist was declared deceased by the De Aar Emergency Services at the scene.
The police are still investigating the circumstances that led to this tragic accident and the investigations are continuing, Sergeant Sam concludes.
