Editorial Staff

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Miami-Dade Police Officers are facing accusations of illegally blocking traffic to the entrance to an emergency room and of retaliating against a family after a driver, the husband, who was standing behind an officer for almost a minute “politely” honked at the officer.

The passenger his wife was unsuspectingly carrying twins, which they would eventually find out after they were allowed to visit the ER. The family was on their way to the ER to have the woman’s “baby” checked out after she was involved in an accident the previous day.

Instead of helping them get help the officer demanded to see the husband’s license. The driver first complied but then changed his mind and asked the officer to see a supervisor. They were held up for minutes until an ambulance was eventually called for the woman.

The family is now speaking out about the incident and is calling for the officers involved to be held accountable. They say that the officers’ actions were unacceptable and that they put the woman’s life and the lives of her unborn twins at risk.
