Three women, aged 25, 40, and 43, were arrested on Friday, February 23, 2024, at a Kimberley Mall in connection with a suspected large-scale theft operation. One of the women is a Lesotho national. Police recovered R20 000 worth of stolen goods and seized a vehicle believed to be involved in the crimes.
Sergeant Phumla Mpolokeng, while conducting routine patrols, was alerted by a security guard at a local mall regarding a suspicious vehicle.
Following up on this information, police stopped the vehicle and discovered suspected stolen goods, including clothing, toiletries, and appliances. The estimated value of the recovered goods is R20 000.

The three women were subsequently arrested. A silver-grey Volkswagen, allegedly used in the commission of the crime, was also seized.
The suspects are detained and will appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court soon.
Police urge the public to report and reject stolen goods.
