Stolen Cloned Vehicle Busted in Thrilling Multi-Agency Operation In Kimberley

Editorial Staff

KIMBERLEY – A dramatic vehicle recovery operation unfolded on the N8 towards Bloemfontein. A collaborative effort between Specialized Consultants and Protection Services (S.C.P.S), Iron Claw Security and Investigation (I.C.S.I) and the South African Police Service (SAPS) led to the successful apprehension of two suspects travelling in a stolen vehicle that had been fraudulently cloned.

The operation began when S.C.P.S received an alert about a stolen vehicle heading towards Kimberley. The team swiftly located the vehicle upon its arrival in the city. After calling for backup from I.C.S.I and SAPS, S.C.P.S discreetly tracked the vehicle, noting its suspicious behaviour as it took circuitous routes through Kimberley.

I.C.S.I promptly joined S.C.P.S in surveillance on Oliver Road, and the two teams pursued the vehicle onto the N8 towards Bloemfontein, awaiting the arrival of SAPS reinforcements. Once all agencies were in position, approximately 35 km outside of Kimberley, the teams executed a coordinated manoeuvre to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.

S.C.P.S strategically slowed the vehicle from the front, while SAPS positioned themselves behind the vehicle with signals for the driver to pull over. I.C.S.I. flanked the driver’s side, preventing any attempts at overtaking. Through this tactical teamwork, the driver was left with no option but to comply.

Approaching the vehicle with extreme caution, the combined security force successfully arrested the two suspects without incident or injury. Both the suspects and the vehicle were handed over to SAPS custody for further investigation.
