A senior official at Sol Plaatje Municipality is under investigation for defeating the ends of justice after subsidised public transport buses — previously deemed unroadworthy — were allegedly certified in Limpopo and returned to service. The buses, which operate between Ritchie and Kimberley, were impounded in June and August due to multiple defects, including faulty odometers, unstable wheel bearings and licensing irregularities.
