A legal dispute over alleged unpaid rent is dragging on in court, with Ocean Echo Properties claiming it is owed R40 million by the Northern Cape Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison for the lease of the so-called “Glass Palace”, while the department disputes liability after vacating the building over safety concerns.
