KIMBERLEY – Heavy rain is pouring down on Kimberley and the stormwater infrastructure in various suburbs may battle to cope which can lead to flooding.
Frank Mack, a resident from Homevale, is concerned about the stormwater system in his suburb after it flooded in 2nd Street.
He says a contractor laying a sewage pipeline broke the stormwater drain two years ago. Mack brought it to the attention of the Sol Plaatje Municipality numerous times, however, it has not been repaired.
