At noon today, the Sol Plaatje Municipality was still clueless as to why water being pumped from the Riverton Water Treatment Works is not being received at the Newton Reservoir in Kimberley.
This following a second day without water for residents.
“Mr Hennie Harding has arranged for an aeroplane to patrol the water line from Riverton to Kimberley. The Fire Dept is currently taking photos with a drone of the water supply lines from Riverton to Kimberley as the Drone can fly closer to the ground,” says municipal mayor, Patrick Alderman Mabilo.
