Unveiling the UAP Mystery: Alex Dietrich’s Courageous Pursuit

Editorial Staff

Lieutenant Commander Alex Dietrich is a true trailblazer. An ex-F18 pilot, Chris Letho, says that Dietrich was one of the United States’ first female Strike Fighter aviators, having served from 2001 to 2020. During her 19-year career, she has flown more than 1,250 flight hours, performed 375 carrier arrested landings, and was awarded a Combat Air Medal for 206 combat missions flown in OIF and OEF. Moreover, she was also awarded a Bronze Star for her boots-on-the-ground deployment to Afghanistan in 2010.

Today, Dietrich is an advocate for legacy Flight Academy, a foundation that promotes diversity in aviation and Wings for Val supporting women in aviation. She has also taught leadership ethics and critical thinking at George Washington University, U.S. Naval Academy, and the University of Colorado School of Engineering in Boulder.

Dietrich was Commander David Fraver’s wingman during the Nimitz engagement. She was getting the training for that day and she saw the Tic Tac and she came out and spoke about it publicly, going on national TV for 60 Minutes. She had the courage to speak out and is continuing to speak out on the UAP phenomenon.

In her opinion article on February 17, 2023, Dietrich starts by saying that the nation was captivated by a suspected Chinese reconnaissance balloon floating across the United States. This prompted NORAD and other U.S agencies to adjust their radar scans and exposed more unidentified objects. She then questions whether these unidentified objects are a threat, a natural phenomenon, or disruptive tech, and who has jurisdiction to shoot them down if they cannot be identified.

Dietrich then looks back to her own experience as an F18 pilot flying off the coast of California. She and her colleagues encountered something they could not explain, an anomalous flying object in broad daylight against a clear blue sky and calm waters. This is the Nimitz engagement which has become the gold standard for UAP encounters due to the numerous credible witnesses, including Dietrich.

Dietrich calls for a collective commitment to authorize and resource-appropriate agencies in order to effectively leverage sensor technology, capture crowdsourcing reporting, and mine the collective data in order to get to the bottom of the UAP mystery. She believes that whatever is happening here, will eventually be revealed.
