Elon Musk has been in the limelight for years as a successful business magnate and innovator, but a recent video by Louis Rossmann has revealed a much darker side to the CEO’s tactics. According to Rossmann, Musk has been using con artist tactics to convince customers and engineers alike to purchase his products.
In 2021, Tesla decided to replace its radar sensors with a “pure vision” system, claiming that it would be better for the customer and for safety. However, this move was actually done to save money and could have resulted in a decrease in the cars’ functionality. Tesla engineers had tried to convince Musk not to remove the radar sensors, but he overruled them.
A new report from SF Gate claims to have talked to former Tesla employees who described an effort to try and talk Musk out of removing the radar. However, Musk was unconvinced, and soon after the automaker began disabling radar and cars already on the road, Tesla experienced an uptick in crashes and other embarrassing mistakes.
It appears that Musk is not afraid to use deceptive tactics to make a profit. This has been further corroborated by a Tesla video that demonstrated full self-driving, which many employees have come out and said was stitched together and included the car almost crashing into a fence.
These tactics are far from ethical, and it is concerning that so many people are unaware of the con artist tactics that Musk is using to make a profit, Rossmann says. It is important to be aware of these tactics and to think twice before investing in or trusting a company or individual who is using them.
