A 27-year-old man was left empty-handed and arrested after he allegedly bombed an ATM early on Saturday morning and gained access to a well-known Noupoort bank.
According to a police spokeswoman, the police in Noupoort swiftly responded to an ATM bombing at a well-known bank. The members discovered a suspect inside the bank before he could flee the scene.
“No cash was taken and a 27-year-old man was arrested under the Explosive Act and for business burglary. He is expected to appear before Noupoort Magistrate’s Court soon.”
“The members are commended for their alertness and swift reaction that foiled the robbery and resulted in an arrest.”
