HERMANUS – Two suspects caught on a video purportedly abusing Hector, the 7-month-old Boxer puppy, will appear in the Hermanus Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
Van Niekerk and Jansen van Rensburg Attorneys, the lawyers representing Hector’s owner pro bono, says the suspects have been formally charged and will have their first appearance in die Hermanus Magistrates Court on Monday, 29 March 2021.

However, as we are assisting pro bono in this matter no legal fees shall be raised. Instead, our clients expressed their wishes for donations to be made to the SPCA Cape of Good Hope’s Inspectorate Department for their tireless fight against animal cruelty.”
“Food, blankets and toys can also be dropped off at our offices at 50 Main Road, Hermanus, same shall be donated by the family in Hector’s name to pups in need.”
