Coca-Cola Truck Creates Traffic Jam At Kimberley Traffic Circle

Editorial Staff

Kimberley motorists have recently become accustomed to a series of unfortunate events involving trucks at the Honoured Dead Memorial traffic circle. This afternoon, a Coca-Cola truck somehow managed to turn right into oncoming traffic at the circle and parked next to the pavement parallel to Diamantveld High School.

The truck had to reverse back into Dalham road in order to turn back into Oliver Road. This created a potential traffic hazard, as the truck blocked the flow of traffic in the circle and caused a significant traffic jam on Dalham road.

This is not the first time a truck caused issues at this traffic circle. In a previous incident, a truck was parked with its hazards on at the stop sign, making it difficult for motorists to see oncoming traffic and forcing them to overtake at the stop sign.

Drivers are urged to be extra cautious when driving near the traffic circle. Motorists are also advised to be aware of large trucks in the area, as they have more potential to create hazardous situations due to their size and weight.

Although the Coca-Cola truck incident did not result in any injuries or damages, it is a reminder of the potential danger that large vehicles can pose on the roads. Drivers should always be aware of their surroundings and exercise caution when driving near large trucks.
